(English) Ayham’s work was recently featured in The Only True Protest Is Beauty at the 60th Venice Biennale inside the Palazzo Pisani Moretta—presented selectively alongside masterworks from Christian Lacroix and Comme des Garçons. His work is mix of sculptural silhouettes at the intersection of heritage and innovation, blending digital 3D testing with traditional craftsmanship to turn the human body into a canvas for memory and resilience.
(English) “To see my work occupying the same rooms and entering that conversation was incredibly overwhelming, but also deeply encouraging,” says Ayham. “The conversations I had with Dries Van Noten are words I will never forget.”
(English) For Ayham, the exhibition was a vital milestone and a reminder to keep developing his own design language, staying true to his roots, and remaining honest about what his work communicates.

(English) A collection starts with a feeling, not just a silhouette. Ayham begins with personal, historical, or emotional themes, translating them through textiles, photographs, archives, and stories.
(English) “I’m interested in taking inherited knowledge and transforming it into something contemporary without losing the emotional and cultural weight it carries.”
(English) Material then translates research into form, creating a tension between softness and protection, fragility and strength. Exaggerated, sculptural silhouettes allow the body to become a landscape or a vessel for memory.

(English) Where Tech Meets Craft?
(English) 3D digital tools allow Ayham to test volume and construction before committing to physical fabrics. He blends digital fabrication alongside traditional hand embroidery, sewing, draping, and textile manipulation, creating a dialogue where physical and digital processes constantly inform one another.
