Tomorrow Was_____: A Vibrant, Multi-Sensory Journey by Gary Card

FabriX returns to Paris Fashion Week 2025 as curator, through cross-cultural exhibition, titled “Tomorrow Was_____”, delves into the paradox of past and future and explores how memory and imagination collide to shape new narratives. To bring them all together, FabriX has enlisted renowned set designer Gary Card to craft a bold, futuristic set design. His signature vibrant grid system ties together all four duos’ works into one unforgettable, multi-sensory narrative journey.

"The only way to know is by becoming the masters of our own destiny. Bring it on!"

As creatives, we are like soothsayers—our visions of what has been or what could be can transform into reality. We blend the past and present to shape the future—that’s the essence of creation. To create, we must continually move forward, whether we like it or not, often venturing into the unknown and exploring through the blurry fog.

This year’s presentation takes place during uncertain times, with a future that can feel unfathomable. Yet, for a project focused on the future of fashion, it’s important to reflect on the past and recognize that many before us have persevered through challenges even greater than our own. I hope this awareness empowers us to move forward with hope, courage, collaboration, and imagination.

So, returning to the original question we pose to our creatives: What does the future hold? Specifically, what does your “Tomorrow” look like? The Gary Card team is working to refine the chaotic beauty found in all four pairs of work, with nine artists presenting their unique interpretations of fashion’s future. Together, we explore how to find order from the past while also looking ahead.
