Chan Brun, founder of royksopp gakkai, was graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, specializing Knitwear design with Technology. As she believes fashion is just one of the medias to present art and idea, she is interested in using various ways to express her attitude towards aesthetics. Thus, not only focusing on fashion design, but she also works as stylist, art director and set designer. She had worked with fujifilm, Shu Uemura, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Adidas, Nike, Chik Chak 903 and different parties. She also styled and work as art director and production for ep covers and music videos for artists including Eason Chan, Panther Chan, Korean Band Balming Tiger, Suzy Bae, MC Cheung, Boy Group Mirror leader Lokman, Kenny Kwan, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.
röyksopp gakkai was established in 2014. “royksopp” stands for a kind of mushroom in Norsk, while “gakkai” means school club in Japanese.
röyksopp gakkai believe fashion is just one of the medium to express aesthetics. The brand design concept is to tell story through our designs rather than just selling garments. royksopp gakkai is good at creating a poetic and romantic atmosphere through different collections. Based on European kids wear from 18th-19th century, with a soft touch of Minimalism and Weird-Cuteness, these show the stage of a teenage girl transforming into an adult.
